According to Le Progres, France’s 2026 kit is being snapped up before Les Bleus’ first World Cup match, with the away version sold out in many stores, and some supporters turning to retro options.

The Vintage historic sports shop, founded two years ago, has become a magnet for collectors. Its communications lead, Mathias, said the 1998 France shirt goes very quickly and that Zidane and Henry remain crowd favourites.

Old OL shirts are in demand, particularly those from the club’s title-winning golden years, with Juninho’s name still the prime draw. Local pride also keeps shirts of Karim Benzema, Nabil Fekir and Corentin Tolisso moving.

Messi and Ronaldo continue to sell strongly. In recent weeks, though, France colours have been the first choice for most buyers.

Staff say interest has risen since domestic seasons ended and after the Champions League final, with customers switching into World Cup mode.
