France's 3-0 win over Iraq delivered an average 4.9 million viewers on M6 on Monday night, despite an almost two-hour storm delay and a final whistle at 2.48am. It was the top audience for that late slot.

Kylian Mbappé scored another brace as the team continue to post strong numbers for the free-to-air channel. According to L'Équipe, M6 is showing 54 matches at this World Cup.

The broadcast drew a 63.1% audience share, the best on the night. Up to 8.9 million were watching by 11.45pm for the first half, with a 63% share.

beIN Sports also carried Les Bleus' second Group I match but has yet to release viewing figures.

On 16 June, the 3-1 victory over Senegal at 9pm attracted 13.99 million viewers, the biggest French opener since the 2014 World Cup.

Already through to the last 32, France finish their group against Erling Haaland's Norway on Friday at 9pm, again on M6 and beIN Sports.
