Marcus Thuram joined Inter from Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.

Despite moving to Giuseppe Meazza with a sterling reputation, it’s fair to say that the 28-year-old exceeded expectations in Serie A.

Furthermore, the French center-forward helped the Nerazzurri win the Scudetto in his first season at the club.

Indeed, Thuram’s formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez formed the backbone of Inter’s landmark 20th league title.

Thuram remains one of the most influential players in Cristian Chivu’s dressing room.

Meanwhile, several top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, have set their sights on the Nerazzurri striker.

However, Thuram has no intention of leaving San Siro.

“When I think of Inter, I think of San Siro, of the passion, of Pazza Inter, of all the emotions Inter gives to its players and fans,” Thuram said. “I’m very happy to be here.

“When I started playing football, it was just a game with friends, whether at school or with my first team.

“Today, when I come to training, I rediscover that same joy of playing with my teammates and working hard together.

“Fashion? In a city like Milan, it pushes you to always do better and find new outfits.

“I like fashion – through it, you can understand what kind of person you are.”

When asked about the best moment of his career so far, Thuram replied: “Winning the Scudetto with the second star in my first year.

“The win against Milan, the goal, the rain,” he added. “I remember everything, the celebration in the Duomo…

“It was a truly special and incredible moment.”

Finally, he highlighted his special affection for Parma.

“Parma is where I was born, where my father played. I don’t have many memories because we left when I was five.

“However, I know it’s a special city for my family and for me as well – I was born there.”
