Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Didier Deschamps said he had yet to receive any updates regarding the Madrid star's situation.

"There are always injuries before the squad list is announced, and there can be some after as well. I don’t have any further information at the moment since the players are due to arrive around 4 p.m. We’ll assess the situation then. Regardless of the player or the club he comes from, he had a minor issue, but nothing prohibitive—otherwise he wouldn’t be here today," stated the Les Bleus manager.
