Kylian Mbappé
Kylian Mbappé is at the center of controversy at the end of this November international break.
Last Friday, the French Football Federation released a statement regarding Kylian Mbappé. The Real Madrid striker, who had scored a brace and provided an assist the previous night against Ukraine, was required to leave the French squad. "The internationals Manu Koné, Eduardo Camavinga, and Kylian Mbappé have been released to return to their clubs (...) Kylian Mbappé is still experiencing inflammation in his right ankle, which requires further examination. He will undergo these tests today in Madrid." the French team wrote.
On the Real Madrid side, they have assured that the Frenchman will be available for the Merengues' next match. According to RMC Sport, this has reignited speculation about a possible "diplomatic injury" for KM10. Furthermore, the French media outlet adds that Mbappé flew directly to Dubai on Friday morning—a 6 hour and 40 minute flight, longer than the average Paris-Baku route (5 hours and 10 minutes).
RMC Sport adds that he spent part of his stay at the Atlantis The Royal hotel as well as at a padel club with brothers Lucas and Theo Hernandez. This getaway is likely to spark debate, with some accusing him of dodging the French team's fixture against Azerbaijan.
