Nothing has been signed yet, and there are no plans for an official announcement at this stage, but the mutual interest between both parties is genuine. Zidane's top priorities, should negotiations succeed, include restructuring the technical staff and integrating his own assistants and unique footballing philosophy.

David Bettoni, who served as Zidane's assistant at Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2021, is reportedly among the leading candidates to join the French national team coaching staff. Zidane is also keen on bolstering the technical team by recruiting experts in data and performance analysis.
