Désiré Doué is expected to start over Bradley Barcola on the left wing for France when they face Spain in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The pair have rotated throughout the campaign, but it is Doué’s more technical profile that is expected to be favoured in Dallas. Kylian Mbappé, whose training sessions have been managed this week, is nonetheless expected to start, with Didier Deschamps allaying an injury concern.

There remains a question mark in midfield. Aurélien Tchouaméni has been injured the past fortnight. In his absence, Manu Koné has stepped up and impressed, but the latter is expected to cede his place to the former later today. There are no absentees for Les Bleus to contend with as they seek to reach a third consecutive World Cup final.
