France have reclaimed top spot in the FIFA men’s ranking, with Spain slipping to second and Argentina down to third.
The reshuffle comes 71 days before the World Cup begins. As reported by SuperDepor.com, the 2022 World Cup runners-up beat Brazil and Colombia during the last international window, and are back at number one for the first time since September 2018.
Spain had led the list since September 2025, but their recent draw with Egypt counted against them amid fine margins separating the top three.
England stay fourth. Portugal move above Brazil into fifth. There were no changes from seventh place down.
FIFA will publish the next update on 10 June, one day before the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
