France arrived in the United States on the eve of the tournament and have based themselves in downtown Boston. They checked into the Four Seasons about one hour after landing.
According to L'Équipe, they touched down at Logan Airport just before 10pm French time, four pm local, having departed Le Bourget early afternoon after a rest day. Entry formalities posed no issues and they quickly reached their bus and base camp.
Around 100 supporters and onlookers gathered outside the Four Seasons, largely reserved for the squad’s stay. Many autographs were signed in a warm atmosphere. Ousmane Dembélé, hood up on his windbreaker and wearing sunglasses, posed for selfies, while Kylian Mbappé drew the loudest ovation and brought up the rear.
Didier Deschamps and his players plan to remain at the five-star hotel until the semi-finals if they finish in the top two of Group I. They were welcomed by hotel staff on arrival.
The squad will get to know their training centre on the Bentley campus, roughly a 30-minute drive, on Thursday. They must deal with a six-hour time difference and temperatures above 30°C. The first session is scheduled for nine pm French time, three pm local.
France face Senegal in New York on 16 June.
