France unveiled a new crest on Wednesday, the day after the press conference confirming Zinédine Zidane as the new head coach.
The French Football Federation said in a statement that the refreshed identity, rolled out across all national teams, is intended to accompany a new sporting cycle while underlining their history and common identity.
The design retains the cockerel at its centre beneath two stars that mark the 1998 and 2018 world titles.
The comb and wattle are now red, the tail is cleaner, and the word France sits underneath in a soft arc.
Overall, the badge stays close to previous iterations.
