France’s green 2026 World Cup away shirt is virtually impossible to find online or in shops.

According to Le Progres, the French Football Federation’s website lists the shirt as unavailable in every size for men, women and babies, with only a mini kids’ shirt still offered. It is also missing from Nike’s official store and from physical outlets.

The striking green, echoing the oxidised copper of the Statue of Liberty, was released specifically for the 2026 tournament and has caught the eye of Kylian Mbappé’s supporters and others.

The rush has proved a boon for the federation, which was initially reluctant to sanction a look so far from the traditional blue, white and red.

France will wear the kit for their third match against Norway on 26 June.

It will be only the second time Les Bleus have worn green at a World Cup. The first was in 1978 in Argentina, for their third group game in Mar del Plata against Hungary. After the kitman ignored a FIFA circular and left the spare strip in Buenos Aires, Michel Hidalgo’s side played in local club Club Atlético Kimberley’s green and white.
