Franck Haise reveals he offered to resign as Nice manager following Marseille defeat | OneFootball

In a post-match press conference, Franck Haise has revealed he had offered to resign as OGC Nice manager following their hefty 5-1 defeat against Marseille. The former Lens manager has seen his side endure a difficult spell recently, with Les Aiglons winless in their last 5 matches across all competitions.

Following their defeat against OM, the Côte d’Azur continued their dismal run of form with a comprehensive 3-0 defeat against FC Porto in the UEFA Europa League. The Ligue 1 club are the only side without a point in the competition after losing all of their matches thus far.

Haise offers resignation

When asked about his future at the Allianz Riviera, Haise said, “It’s a fascinating job, and yes, I do question myself. I offered to be the shock to the system after Marseille, but it wasn’t the right time; otherwise, I wouldn’t be here in front of you. No resignation, no, but I take responsibility.”

The former Lorient assistant coach also offered to resign following Nice’s 3-1 loss to Freiburg in the Europa League, but INEOS have chosen to keep him in his position. Despite his offer to resign on two occasions, Get French Football News understands that the Frenchman is very happy in his role at Nice.
