According to BBC UK, Leicester City have agreed a free transfer with Blackpool to sign goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli on a three-year contract, subject to EFL approval.
The 29-year-old would add experience to the goalkeeping department, having made 99 senior appearances for Eastbourne Borough, MK Dons, Wycombe Wanderers and, most recently, Blackpool.
Ravizzoli said he was delighted to join, that he could not turn the opportunity down once the interest emerged, and that he feels ready for a new challenge while looking forward to working with Russell Martin again.
He described Leicester as a big club with ambitions to be successful again, pledged to give everything to help, and said positive reports about the club, city and supporters made it the right place to keep improving.
Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, he came through Independiente and Quilmes before joining River Plate’s youth setup. He moved to Eastbourne Borough in January 2020, making 30 appearances, then to MK Dons in June 2021. After two seasons he joined Wycombe, playing 52 times, before signing for Blackpool in summer 2025.
Ravizzoli now links up ahead of Leicester’s first league fixture of the 2026/27 season, a trip to Notts County on Saturday 15 August.
