François Modesto leaves Juventus Turin after a year as technical director

Juventus Turin have parted company with François Modesto, who leaves his role as technical director with immediate effect. The club said in a statement that it had reached an amicable agreement to end his tenure.

The 47-year-old Frenchman arrived in Turin in July 2025.

His departure follows that of director general Damien Comolli, who left in June, a year after taking the job.

Juventus finished sixth in Serie A last season, missing out on next season's Champions League. They were also knocked out in the 2025-26 Champions League play-offs by Galatasaray.

A former defender, Modesto played for Bastia and Monaco, then served as technical director at Nottingham Forest from 2019 to 2022 and at Monza from 2022 to 2024.
