Freiburg target Eintracht Frankfurt forward

Having struggled for playing time during the 2024/25 campaign, Igor Matanović could be on the move this summer in search of more regular football.

According to Sky Germany, SC Freiburg are weighing up a move for the 22-year-old Croatian forward, who has found minutes hard to come by under Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller, especially since the turn of the year.

Matanović has featured just once off the bench since January and started only six matches all season, with injuries also playing a part in his limited involvement.

The tall striker is a Croatian international and has represented his country five times at senior level, finding the net once.

His contract with Frankfurt runs until 2029.
