A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is attracting serious interest ahead of the fast-approaching transfer deadline.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Dani Ceballos as the player in question.
The name of Spanish international Ceballos has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid across much of the summer to date.
This comes amid long-running speculation, pointing towards a potential Bernabéu exit for the ex-Arsenal man.
Ceballos sits behind the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modrić, Aurélien Tchouaméni and youngster Arda Güler in the midfield pecking order in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
In turn, it has come as little surprise to hear that, under the right circumstances, the 28-year-old could be open to a new adventure.
And hopeful of convincing Ceballos that as much would await him this season are clubs from both Spain and France.
As per a report from Marca:
‘Real Betis and Monaco, attentive to the midfielder’s situation throughout the summer, are pushing hard in the last week to get a player who at the start of the season is not having the desired prominence and who does not rule out an exit if all the pieces fall into place in this last week.’
Carlo Ancelotti continues to depend on Ceballos as a reliable backup option, and though a transfer is therefore considered ‘complicated’, it is not ‘impossible’.
One to keep an eye on ahead of Friday’s La Liga transfer deadline…
