Roma are already looking ahead to the next transfer window and are once again evaluating the possibility of strengthening their attack.
According to L’Équipe, the Giallorossi have resumed their contact with Breel Embolo, the Swiss center forward currently playing for Rennes after his spells at Monaco.
The 1997-born player is having a difficult time adapting to Ligue 1, but he has found the back of the net twice in the last two games, a sign of his improving form.
Roma had already attempted to approach Embolo last summer, contacting Monaco to discuss a transfer.
Ultimately, the striker preferred to stay in France, accepting Stade Rennes’ offer on the final day of the transfer window for a fee close to €13 million.
Currently, no negotiations are underway, but the Roman club has conducted further inquiries to determine whether there is any real scope for a deal to be completed as early as January.
