While awaiting the official announcement of Tony D’Amico as their new sporting director, Roma has already identified some of their priorities for the summer transfer window.
Among these is the need to add quality and depth to their attacking lineup ahead of next season. In the last few hours, Mauro Icardi’s name has emerged.
The Argentine striker could leave Galatasaray at the end of the season, despite Victor Osimhen’s possible departure from the Turkish club.
After his long stint at Inter, a return to Italy is also being considered.
Spanish portal Fichajes.net has revived the rumor, identifying three possible destinations in Serie A for the former Inter captain. In addition to Juventus and Milan, Roma is also listed among the clubs interested in the Argentine striker.
According to the Spanish site, bringing Icardi to the capital “seems like a particularly logical path.”
At the moment, however, there are no concrete developments on the Giallorossi front. Roma’s priority for strengthening their attack remains the acquisition of a winger, with Mason Greenwood still at the top of Gian Piero Gasperini’s wish list.
