Fujino makes September WSL Player of the Month shortlist | OneFootball

Aoba Fujino has been nominated for September’s Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award.

The forward enjoyed a stellar start to the 2025/26 campaign, which saw City pick up three wins from a possible four.

Having missed our season opener against Chelsea, Fujino’s impact from the bench helped the Blues come from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 the following week at the Joie Stadium.

Fujino linked up with fellow substitute Kerolin to spark the game’s decisive moment, threading through fellow Japan international Yui Hasegawa for the winning goal.

She followed that up with an outstanding individual display at Tottenham Hotspur, grabbing the opening goal in our 5-1 win to cap off a tireless display out wide.

And Aoba once again more than played her part in a 4-1 triumph over London City Lionesses to round off an impressive September for the winger and, more widely, City.
