Marco Silva has refused to be drawn on speculation linking him with the vacant manager’s position at Chelsea.
Silva has been named as a potential option for Chelsea as the club search for a successor to Liam Rosenior. Rosenior was sacked following the 3-0 defeat to Brighton in midweek, a result which extended Chelsea’s recent record to five straight Premier League losses.
Callum McFarlane has been placed in interim charge until the summer, when a permanent replacement will be appointed.
Silva’s impressive work as Fulham has attracted interest from rival clubs and the Portuguese coach is out of contract at the end of the campaign.
However, asked about his Fulham future and links to Chelsea, Silva said there was ‘no news’ to tell.
“Why is it different this week this week? It is not different at all,” Silva said at his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Aston Villa.
“My answer is the same and it’s the same answer that I said to you last week. I am not going to make comments about it every single week. When there is something new we are going to tell from ourselves, myself and the club.
“There is no news.”
