Fulham edge West Ham in five-goal thriller | OneFootball

Fulham edged a five-goal thriller at the London Stadium on Tuesday night, knocking West Ham out of the Carabao Cup in the third round.

The visitors made a lively start and took the lead after 13 minutes when Rodrigo Muniz headed home César Palacios' delivery. West Ham responded almost immediately, with Morato rising highest to level the contest.

Palacios restored Fulham’s advantage before the interval, but the Hammers refused to go away. Pablo struck in stoppage time with a composed finish from a tight angle to make it 2-2 at half-time.

West Ham pushed for a winner after the break, with Jarrod Bowen and Manor Solomon introduced from the bench. However, Oscar Bobb settled the tie late on, racing into the box before finding the bottom corner.

Bowen missed a late opportunity to equalise, while Taty Castellanos was denied on the line as Fulham held on to reach the fourth round.

West Ham now turn their attention to Saturday’s Championship trip to Millwall.
