Fulham are weighing up a January move for Galatasaray playmaker Gabriel Sara as Marco Silva looks to add creativity in midfield. The 26-year-old Brazilian has impressed in Türkiye since joining from Norwich City in 2024.
Trivela reports that several Premier League clubs have made formal enquiries on the back of his form. Sara arrived for €18 million and helped the Istanbul side win the Süper Lig and Turkish Cup last season.
Fulham’s interest is seen as tactical, with the club still seeking a long-term successor to Andreas Pereira, who joined Palmeiras in a €10 million deal in August. He would slot into a squad with a strong Brazilian core, including Rodrigo Muniz and summer signing Kevin.
Any deal could be complicated by the player’s salary, figures are undisclosed but his Istanbul earnings have been viewed as a hurdle for mid-table sides. Manchester City and Manchester United have monitored him previously, yet neither has entered the race this window, which may give Fulham an opening if they can meet his terms and Galatasaray’s valuation.
Galatasaray are under no pressure to sell, Sara is contracted in Türkiye until 2029 and the club are expected to seek a significant profit on the £15.8 million paid to Norwich. He spent two years in England with Norwich but has yet to play in the Premier League, narrowly missing promotion after 25 goal contributions in 2023-24. Whether Fulham turn interest into a bid remains to be seen, but the Brazilian appears eager to make his mark in the top flight.
