The Coupe de France semi-final draw was made ahead of the final match of the quarter-finals last night. In that game, RC Lens progressed at Olympique Lyonnais’ expense on penalties (2-2). Les Sang et Or had led by two goals, only for Lyon to come back into the game and net a dramatic injury-time equaliser.
But Lens then kept their cool in the shootout. They will host Toulouse FC, who beat Olympique de Marseille on penalties in the quarter-finals. Ethan Nwaneri missed the decisive spotkick on the night.
In the other game, RC Strasbourg Alsace, who beat Ligue 2 opponents and last year’s finalists, Stade de Reims, will face OGC Nice, who beat FC Lorient on penalties. Yehvann Diouf proved the hero in the penalty shoot-out on that occasion. The games will take place on 22nd April.
