The former West Ham forward was introduced as a substitute in the second half in the Rossoneri’s eventual 1-0 win in Sardinia.

“Perfect debut, perfect start to the year,” Fullkrug wrote on Instagram, posting a bunch of pictures from the game in Cagliari.

“Absolutely honoured to have played my first match right away! Already feel at home, even though the first home match is still to come – can’t wait! Grazie for your support today and enjoy your weekend, Rossoneri.”

Friday’s win over Cagliari allowed the Rossoneri to climb to the top of the Serie A table with a two-point lead over city rivals Inter, who have a game in hand.
