At FC Bayern, eight youth players are facing a pivotal decision ahead of the new season. A new report highlights how varied the plans are—ranging from staying with the club to being loaned out or sold. Among them: Noël Aséko, Felipe Chávez, and Arijon Ibrahimović.
At Säbener Straße, the sorting out of the youth academy is in full swing. According to BILD, the record champions are currently evaluating options for eight young players for the 2026–27 season—with scenarios that are, in some cases, completely opposite.
The case of Noël Aseko is particularly intriguing. The 20-year-old apparently has advocates within the club who want to promote him to the first-team squad as the fourth midfielder for the upcoming season. At the same time, a sale remains a possibility; Eintracht Frankfurt is reportedly showing interest. According to the report, a final decision has not yet been made.
Things are also moving forward with Felipe Chávez. After Cologne did not exercise its purchase option, he is returning to Munich. Reportedly, he is set to be loaned out again—possibly with a purchase option and a buyback clause. At the same time, there are clubs interested in a permanent transfer. Italian forward Guido della Rovere, on the other hand, dreams of making his professional debut in a Bayern jersey—he would only consider leaving if there were absolutely no prospects for him there.
According to the report, Arijon Ibrahimovic’s future depends on the squad’s composition: The versatile forward could become a backup for the first team—otherwise, he would leave the club permanently.
For others, a loan move appears likely: 18-year-old left back Julien Yanda is set to gain his first professional experience, and Deniz Ofli is also facing a similar move due to the strong competition on the left flank.
For two young talents, pre-season training will determine their next steps. Brazilian winger Maycon Cardozo will reportedly get the chance to prove himself before a decision is made about his future.

The situation is particularly up in the air for David Santos Daiber: The midfielder is working on his comeback after suffering a torn muscle fiber in his thigh. A loan was reportedly already being discussed even before the injury.
These decisions come at a time when Bayern is already restructuring the transition from the youth academy to the first team.
Most recently, the club signed Bernhard Seonbuchner from the Red Bull Academy Salzburg, who, together with Michael Wiesinger, is set to form the sporting leadership at the Campus under youth director Jochen Sauer.
The recent case of Robert Deziel Jr. shows that not every talented player automatically makes the leap: According to Sky, the 20-year-old center back from the reserve team is set to join Legia Warsaw on a free transfer.
Which of the eight players mentioned will ultimately stay, be loaned out, or leave the club will become clear in the coming weeks.
