Corinthians captain Gabi Zanotti has criticised the CBF over the mid-afternoon kick-off for the club’s Copa do Brasil Feminina round of 16 meeting with Ferroviária.

The player said in a post that a 15:00 start is hardly inviting for fans in the ground or watching on TV, adding a pointed congratulations to those responsible.

The tie is scheduled for Thursday 23 July at Arena Fonte Luminosa in Araraquara, with live coverage on subscription channel SporTV.

It is not the first time Zanotti has taken issue with the CBF. In February, after Corinthians finished runners-up in the Supercopa do Brasil, the number 10 criticised the choice of Arena Barueri, home of Palmeiras, for the final.

Before the cup, Corinthians return on 17 July to face Ferroviária in the Campeonato Paulista at Estádio Alfredo Schürig (Fazendinha), with kick-off at 19:00.
