Santos will be without Gabigol for their Copa Sudamericana debut away to Deportivo Cuenca on Wednesday at 19:00 Brasília time.
According to Globo.com, the forward will undergo a fresh PRP procedure, which uses the player’s own blood to speed muscle and cellular recovery, so he will not travel. The treatment targets right thigh adductor tendonitis.

On Sunday, Igor Vinicius and Rony joined the travelling party heading directly to Ecuador.
The no 9 will have the procedure on Monday and returns to activities on Wednesday at CT Rei Pelé.
Neymar will also miss the game in the South American competition, remaining in Santos to attend to physical and clinical work.
