Gabriel Barbosa strikes late as Santos rise to ninth | OneFootball

Santos beat Remo 2-1 in Belém, rising from 10th to ninth in the Brasileirão after late goals from Rony and Gabriel Barbosa.

Rony broke through in the 78th minute, finishing from Gabi's pass. Marllon levelled from close range after Yago Pikachu's corner (83.). Gabi then tucked in the winner from Lucas Veríssimo's knockdown following a corner (87.).

Gabriel Poveda received a second yellow and was sent off in the third minute of second half stoppage time. Moments later, Peixe keeper Diógenes tipped away Duplexe Tchamba's header in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time.

Gabi is now on 11 league goals, third in the Brasileirão scoring chart.

Peixe managed 11 attempts with four on target. Leão Azul recorded 14 attempts and five corners.

Leão Azul stay 19th in the relegation zone. Peixe visit São Paulo next, while Leão Azul host Grêmio.
