Gabriel Brás named II Liga’s best young player for January

Porto B centre-back Gabriel Brás has been voted II Liga’s best young player for January by the Players’ Union.

According to O Jogo, he led the poll with 14.2%, ahead of team-mate André Oliveira on 11.5% and Benfica’s Daniel Banjaqui on 11.3%.

In January, Porto B beat Sporting B 2-1, Vizela 1-0 and Farense 2-3, drew 1-1 at Benfica B and lost 2-1 in Santa Maria da Feira.

Brás completed the full 90 minutes at centre-back in each game and scored Porto B’s only goal at Seixal.
