Arsenal welcomed Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 21st minute thanks to William Saliba’s effort. Piero Hincapie scored an unfortunate own goal in injury time as the two London teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Jurrien Timber scored the winning goal for Mikel Arteta’s side in the 66th minute before Pedro Neto was given his marching orders in the 70th minute. The contest finished with the Gunners securing a narrow 2-1 win at the Emirates.

He made a couple of excellent saves at the back and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.

RB: Jurrien Timber – 7.5/10

Timber dealt with the danger when he could and was lively on the ball. He managed to score the winning goal in the 66th minute.

CB: William Saliba – 7.5/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and scored the opener in the 21st minute.

CB: Gabriel – 8/10

Gabriel was a rock at the back and was a good presence on the ball. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.

LB: Piero Hincapie – 6/10

He looked a bit shaky at the back and scored an unfortunate own goal in the latter stages of the first half.

CM: Martin Zubimendi – 6.5/10

Zubimendi anchored the midfield well but was a bit sloppy on the ball.

CM: Declan Rice – 7.5/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10

Saka was a constant menace in the final third but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

CAM: Eberechi Eze – 6.5/10

He caught the eye at times inside the opponent’s half, but there was no goal for him.

LW: Leandro Trossard – 6/10

Trossard managed to shine at times on the left flank but struggled to threaten the opponent’s goal.

ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 6.5/10

He used his pace and power well at times up top.

He failed to threaten the Chelsea goal.

His impact on the game was minimal.
