Gabriel Jesus agent provides update on his future amidst Napoli interest

Gabriel Jesus is attracting interest from Napoli as Arsenal prepare for his departure during this transfer window after he struggled for regular game time in the second half of last season.

With Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz fit, it is difficult to see Jesus receiving enough opportunities at Arsenal this season if he remains there. A departure from the Emirates in the coming weeks could therefore be the best option for the attacker as he looks for a fresh opportunity.

Jesus is aware of his situation, and his entourage is searching for a solution. However, he would not mind remaining at Arsenal and running down his contract until the summer of 2027. The Gunners, however, want to find a solution this summer because they do not plan to offer him a new deal.

Napoli show interest in Jesus

Jesus remains one of the top players in Arsenal’s squad, but his lack of consistency and fitness problems have affected his importance to the first team. With the competition for attacking places increasing, his position at the club has become increasingly difficult.

Napoli appear to be among the clubs most interested in his signature, giving the Brazilian a possible route away from north London. A move would allow him to seek regular football elsewhere while Arsenal could resolve the situation before the final years of his contract.

Agent provides transfer update

As quoted by Get Football News Italy, Jesus’ agent, Giovanni Branchini, said: “For several months, many clubs have been sounding out the player’s situation to understand Arsenal‘s intentions, numbers and expectations. I’ve had three Italian clubs approach me, and a potential fourth had expressed interest at a time when they seemed on the verge of selling an important striker in the squad.

“They had the possibility of trying the Gabriel card in their head. This is the reality. And I can add that apart from a couple of Turkish clubs, rejected because they weren’t interested in going to Turkey, there haven’t been any other significant negotiations.”

Branchini’s comments confirm that several clubs have explored Jesus’ situation, although no significant negotiations appear to have developed beyond the interest already shown.

For Arsenal, the priority will be to find an acceptable solution this summer, while Jesus must decide whether to remain and fight for his place or pursue a new challenge.
