Gabriel Martinelli ‘to join’ Al-Hilal in €70m move | OneFootball

According to The Athletic, Gabriel Martinelli is close to joining Al-Hilal, with Arsenal set to receive €70 million.

The 25-year-old winger is expected to sign a four-year contract. There is no official agreement yet, though talks over the terms are not thought to pose a problem.

Martinelli is set to depart after 278 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 62 goals and supplying 36 assists since arriving in 2019.

He was a hero for Brazil in the World Cup round of 16 against Japan, scoring an added-time winner in a 2-1 victory.

His flight to Saudi Arabia is planned for early next week, and the fee is set to become the biggest sale in Arsenal history.

Fellow Brazilian Gabriel Jesus is also expected to leave the London club to sign for Barcelona in the coming days.
