A significant transfer update has been provided on the future of Manchester United’s young forward Gabriele Biancheri.

Steady rise

Biancheri has progressed gradually since joining United from Cardiff City in February 2023. He scored on his debut for the Under-18s later in the campaign.

He played a key role during the 2023/24 season as United won the Under-18 Premier League and Premier League Cup. He bagged an impressive 17 goals in 27 games.

The striker was a regular feature at both Under-18 and Under-21 levels in 2024/25, finding the back of the net 15 times in 36 League matches.

He also netted twice in five games for Wales’ Under-21s after making his bow in September 2025.

He has been pushing for a place in the Wales senior setup, but he is also eligible for Canada and was invited to a training camp by Jesse Marsch last summer.

Biancheri spent the second half of last term on loan at Rotherham, where he got his first taste of senior football.

But it didn’t quite go according to plan. The 19-year-old made 11 appearances, nine of which came from the bench. He didn’t register a goal contribution.

It’s understood that he has admirers from the Championship and across Europe.

It’s said that his suitors are seeking a permanent transfer and United will let him leave.

The exact identity of the interested parties remains unclear at this stage, but the Biancheri situation is certainly one to keep a close eye on as deadline day approaches.
