Gaetà Huguet lighting upgrade makes Castelló field second brightest | OneFootball

Gaetà Huguet has received a full lighting upgrade, lifting illumination for Castellón B in the Segunda Federación.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Castelló city council has taken delivery of the works, a 60,737.80 euros investment replacing old units with LED across the four floodlight towers.

The new system delivers an average of 309 lux, with peaks of 416 and a minimum of 223, making it the second best lit football pitch in Castelló, behind Estadio SkyFi Castalia.

The upgrade directly benefits the albinegro reserve side, in the division for the second straight season and again using Gaetà Huguet as their regular home in 2026/27.

LED technology provides more uniform light and improves visibility for training and matches.

Infrastructure councillor Sergio Toledo said the completion modernises a municipal facility and improves efficiency, adding that LED offers better performance with lower consumption.

Sports councillor Maica Hurtado said the intervention brings a direct improvement for clubs and athletes who use Gaetà Huguet daily, with better conditions for both training and competition.
