‘Gaining Ground’ – Club Could Make Late Swoop For Everton Man | OneFootball

The talk regarding Everton striker Beto potentially moving to Serie A outfit Fiorentina before the transfer window slams shut is ‘gaining ground’.

Everton signed Beto from Udinese in the summer of 2023 and he has featured 112 times for the club so far registering 25 goals.

During the winter transfer window several clubs showed interest in signing the 28-year-old and Juventus offered him to take on loan but the Toffees were not open to his loan exit.

Last season, Beto was in and out of the side for Everton and the centre forward managed to secure nine goals in the 37 Premier League games.

Everton began their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace at the weekend with a 2-0 win with the help of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry’s goals, while Beto came on as a substitute.

Toffees boss David Moyes is pushing to bring in a striker in the ongoing window and Marseille star Amine Gouiri, for whom the French outfit want a fee in the region of €25m, is on his list.

In the event of the Merseyside outfit signing a new centre forward, Beto could fall further down the pecking order.

The 28-year-old might get a way out of the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, as Beto has been linked with Serie A outfit Fiorentina in recent days.

According to Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccerini, the news regarding Fiorentina being interested in bringing Beto to Italy is ‘gaining ground’.

Beto could be turned to by La Viola as a replacement for Moise Kean, who is wanted by Como.

Serie A is a league familiar to Beto since his days with Udinese and he featured for two seasons with the Italian outfit, scoring 22 times in 62 appearances.

However, the Everton star is not the only player Fiorentina are interested in, with other striking options under consideration by Fabio Paratici.

It is not clear whether Beto wants a move to Fiorentina this summer and the Toffees will want to bring a striker through the door before they sanction a departure.
