Liverpool faced off against West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier today as they focused on securing a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Alexander Isak scored the opener with a good finish at the hour mark. Lucas Paqueta was sent off by the referee in the 84th minute before Cody Gakpo killed the game off in injury time. The contest ended with Arne Slot’s men securing a solid 2-0 win away from home.

He didn’t have a save to make in the game and kept an easy clean sheet this afternoon.
RB: Joe Gomez – 7/10
Gomez kept a good shape at the back and was strong on the ball.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10
He dealt with the danger when needed and kept the home team quiet for most of the contest.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7/10
Van Dijk kept a solid shape on the defensive end of the field and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6.5/10
He didn’t do much wrong defensively, but offered very little going forward.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10
The Argentina international retained possession well in the opponent’s half and came back to defend when he could.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10
Gravenberch was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.
RW: Florian Wirtz – 7.5/10
Wirtz engineered a few inviting chances for others around him.
CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7.5/10
He put in a tireless shift in the West Ham half and linked up play well in the final third.
LW: Cody Gakpo – 7.5/10
Gakpo got himself into some dangerous areas and managed to score a late goal with a good strike.
ST: Alexander Isak – 7/10
He was quiet in the first half but scored the opener with a great finish in the 60th minute.
ST: Hugo Ekitike – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
