According to Turkish-Football.com, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has delivered a firm hands-off message to Arsenal, telling colleagues Victor Osimhen will not be sold under any circumstances this summer.
The 27-year-old Nigeria striker has emerged as a target as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attack. Özbek is said to have taken an even firmer line on Osimhen than on Barış Alper Yılmaz, and the stance follows a rejected £111 million bid from Al Hilal earlier in the window.
Osimhen helped Galatasaray win the domestic title last season, scoring 22 goals in all competitions.
He began the new Süper Lig campaign with two goals against Çorum FK, the second a stoppage-time equaliser that salvaged a point. Afterwards, he said transfer rumours are part of the window and that he remains focused on his job for now.
It is understood an opening offer of around £58 million, €70m, would be needed just to start talks, leaving Arsenal with a major task before the deadline.
