Galatasaray want to sign Daichi Kamada from Lazio, but first need to finalise the return of Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea, Turkish reports detail.
The Istanbul giants are keen to make one final signing before the end of the Turkish transfer window on Friday evening, but first need to make some space in their squad. One player in particular is their prime candidate to depart – Ziyech.
The 30-year-old Moroccan winger has failed to find consistent fitness since joining Galatasaray on loan from Chelsea last summer and has fallen out of the club’s plans. He was negotiating a move to Saudi side Al-Shabab last month but a move ultimately failed to materialise.
As reported by Turkish outlet Fanatik via TMW, Galatasaray are pushing to agree the early return of Ziyech to Chelsea, which would allow them to make a last-minute move in the transfer market. Their primary target is Kamada, who has less than six months left on his contract with Lazio.
The Japanese midfielder signed an interesting deal with the Biancocelesti upon his arrival on a free transfer last summer, penning a one-year contract with an option for a further three years.
Things haven’t been particularly positive in the Italian capital for the 27-year-old and he’s on track to leave in the near future.
