Galatasaray's resurgence has been matched by a €42.53m windfall after clinching a UEFA Champions League knockout play-off spot.
According to Turkish-Football.com, the champions of Türkiye finished 20th in the eight-match league phase in the second season of UEFA's 36-team Swiss model, earning a two-legged play-off for a round-of-16 place.
Okan Buruk's side recorded three wins and one draw, including a 1-0 home victory over Liverpool in September. Those results delivered €7m in performance bonuses, €2.1m per win and €700,000 per draw.
Galatasaray also received an €18.62m participation fee shared equally across the league phase. Their 20th-place finish added a €5.08m merit payment.
UEFA's value pillar contributed €8.41m, including €2.42m from their 10-year coefficient. A €1m play-off qualification bonus completed their league-phase earnings, excluding gate receipts and sponsorship deals.
Further progress could be even more lucrative. A play-off triumph would bring €11m for the last 16, with €12.5m for quarter-finalists and €18.5m for reaching the final. For a club operating in the Super Lig, the windfall offers crucial transfer-market leverage.
