Galatasaray have accelerated their push to sign Turkish international forward Can Uzun from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt after a key breakthrough with his family, according to Fanatik.

Manager Okan Buruk has long targeted the 20-year-old as a priority this summer, mindful of strict domestic squad rules that elevate the value of local players.

Talks with Frankfurt had previously stalled, with the German side pointing to the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup to boost his price or insisting on the full €60 million release clause. Following consecutive group-stage defeats, Türkiye have been eliminated before their final match against the United States on 26 June, and Galatasaray are moving quickly to close the deal before Uzun’s post-tournament break.

With personal terms agreed and family approval secured, attention has turned to the fee. While the clause remains €60 million, Galatasaray are aiming for a compromise around €35 million. Uzun produced 10 goals and 6 assists in 28 club appearances before the tournament.

Buruk views Uzun as a starter in the No 10 role, with the versatility to play from the left or as a second striker. If completed, the move would see him support star forward Victor Osimhen in a reshaped attack. Uzun is expected to hold direct talks with Frankfurt after the 26 June fixture, asking the club to facilitate his move to Istanbul.
