Galatasaray have launched a late push to sign Bernardo Silva, seeking to hijack his proposed move to Barcelona. The champions of Türkiye are targeting the free agent after his departure from Manchester City with what is described as a record financial proposal.

Fotomac reports that a three-year deal is being lined up, with salary and bonuses that could top €50 million. The package is said to include a base of about €15 million per season.

Okan Buruk is understood to view Silva as the successor to Dries Mertens in the No 10 role. The plan is to add elite vision and consistency to the side’s creative core.

İlkay Gündoğan, Silva’s former captain and close friend, has been in regular contact since January. He has been promoting the project, highlighting Champions League ambitions and the atmosphere at RAMS Park.

He has long been linked with Barcelona, and some reports have claimed talks were at an advanced stage before Galatasaray’s move. Yeni Şafak reports he may already have a verbal agreement with a global giant. Even so, Galatasaray hope their aggressive offer and a star-heavy squad, potentially featuring rumoured target Kolo Muani, could yet turn his head.
