Galatasaray are accelerating a late move for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma in the final hours of the window. According to Turkish-Football.com, the Istanbul club are trying to strike a deal before the deadline.
Galatasaray vice president Abdullah Kavukcu arrived in England on Tuesday to lead talks for the Malian international. He was joined by Italian agent George Gardi, who has worked on high-profile deals involving Mauro Icardi and Victor Osimhen.
Bissouma has six months left on his contract, leaving Spurs with a choice, take a modest fee now or risk seeing the 29-year-old leave on a free in the summer.
The approach comes just as Bissouma has returned to the fold after the Africa Cup of Nations. He featured off the bench against West Ham, then made his first start of the campaign in the recent 2-2 draw with his former club Brighton.
Whether Galatasaray can persuade Spurs to sell remains to be seen. If they succeed, Bissouma would join a squad in Istanbul competing for the Süper Lig title and Champions League success.
