The European champion has now committed her future to the Club until the summer of 2027.

A composed leader, Greenwood has been a key voice in Andrée Jeglertz’s defence before picking up an injury following the international break.

She was named Club captain ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, following Steph Houghton’s retirement and her inclusion in the Lionesses’ squad has seen her contribute to both England’s Euro 2022 and Euro 2025-winning sides.

Alex has won two major honours during her time at City and has also been included in the PFA WSL Team of the Year on three occasions, showcasing why she is such a key figure for City.

A remarkably consistent and composed defender, she’s made over 150 appearances in Blue so far and found the net on six occasions.
