Gallery: Highlights from the Etihad Young Leaders Summit in New Delhi | OneFootball

Thirty-nine Young Leaders from across India came together in New Delhi for this season's Etihad Young Leaders Summit, an inspirational week led by City in the Community coaches and Etihad employee volunteers.

The initiative, delivered in partnership with Manchester City, Etihad Airways and Magic Bus India Foundation, aims to empower healthier lives for City youth through football. It provides Young Leaders with the skills and confidence to drive change in their communities.

The Young Leaders from Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi spent the week developing their skills in community coaching, social impact and leadership.

This year, Etihad Airways flew in employee volunteers to support workshops on career and leadership development alongside our City coaches. A key part of their role was to motivate the Young Leaders and learn more about the inspirational work they do with children in their communities.

A standout moment of the summit was the community football festival, where the Young Leaders had the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills into practice with 50 school children, aged 11-12 years, from the local Delhi community. The day saw the youngsters participate in energisers and football drills designed by Young Leaders to build confidence, teamwork, and social skills.

The talented group of Young Leaders were selected to take part for their dedication and skill as community football leaders.

They are all part of the project network in partnership with Manchester City’s global foundation, Etihad Airways, and Magic Bus India Foundation. The project has launched in five cities from the airline’s destination cities across India: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, with more locations expected to follow next season.
