The former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani will be present for tonight’s big clash against Juventus, as confirmed by the Monza CEO himself. He also discussed his favourite memories from the fixture.
Milan need to bounce back with a strong performance and, above all, a win tonight as the last Scudetto train is about to depart. Whether they will succeed remains to be seen, but royalty will be present in the stands for the clash.
Speaking to MilanPress outside the Serie A HQ, the former Milan CEO and current Monza CEO Adriano Galliani shared his thoughts on the clash. He also discussed his favourite memory from it during his 31 years at the club along with Silvio Berlusconi.
“Best memory? There have been many, even our last year with Locatelli’s goal. I have a wonderful memory of George’s (Weah) brace in Turin at the old stadium when we won the Scudetto with Zaccheroni in 1999.
“I remember at least 60/70 Milan-Juve and I have it in my heart. Tomorrow afternoon I will be in Milan, obviously rooting for Milan because 31 years are unforgettable. Tomorrow we will play a Milan-Turin with Juve and on Sunday Turin-Monza. It all comes back,” he stated.
Paulo Fonseca will be able to rely on a strong starting XI, even if Christian Pulisic is a doubt, and Thiago Motta is seemingly fielding a 4-2-4 formation. As such, it could be a very good and entertaining game.
