Liverpool could be about to shake up their midfield options.

The current transfer period may see Curtis Jones leave for Inter Milan or elsewhere - provided the £35m obligation is met by interested parties.

Alexis Mac Allister is another one meanwhile who has been linked with the exit door. Although the trail to Real Madrid has gone cold of late the Argentina FIFA World Cup winner is no closer to securing a new contract.

With his current deal expiring in 2028 sporting director Richard Hughes will soon have a decision to make.

Bajcetic's priority is to leave for Spain

Another player whose exit now looks ever more likely is Stefan Bajcetic. The 21-year-old was recruited by Jurgen Klopp from Celta Vigo as a teenager back in 2020.

Having initially made the breakthrough the Spain under-21 international has since suffered several injury setbacks. He spent the 2024/25 season out on loan with Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas but hasn’t played for the first team since May 2024.

Under contract until 2027 it is inevitable that Bajcetic will be sold this summer unless a new deal is agreed.

Sevilla pushing hard for Bajcetic

That seems unlikely - with suitors in Spain now coming forward for the deep-lying playmaker.

Vamos Sevilla is now reporting that Sevilla are pushing hard to acquire the services of Bajcetic - whose priority is to return to his home country during the off-season.

“According to journalist Ángel García, the departures of Nemanja Gudelj and, especially, Batista Mendy have prompted Sevilla FC to make a strong push in the international bidding to acquire the services of Stefan Bajcetic,” the report reads.

“[His] agency is already negotiating a definitive departure from Anfield this summer with priority destination being Spain.

“The Nervión club is not alone in the race for the midfielder, having Rayo Vallecano and Elche CF as direct rivals.”
