Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has the lowest conversion rate of any player with 10 or more big chances in the Premier League this season, suggesting Napoli made the right transfer decision in January.

The Argentinean winger was the big Napoli target to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia last month, but the Partenopei failed to reach an agreement with the player’s entourage after months of negotiations.

Napoli director Giovanni Manna has explained that the club were unwilling to match Garnacho’s high demands so they ended up signing Noah Okafor on loan with an option to buy from Milan.

Garnacho has remained at Manchester United, but CBS Sports reports that the 20-year-old has the lowest conversion rate of any player with 10 or more big chances in the Premier League this season,

This suggests the Argentina international was probably still not ready to replace an established player like Kvaratskhelia, who scored 30 goals and provided 29 assists in 107 games with the Partenopei during his two-and-a-half-year spell at the club.

Nevertheless, Napoli coach Antonio Conte is still struggling to replace Kvara, especially after David Neres, Mathias Olivera and Leonardo Spinazzola suffered muscle injuries in recent weeks.
