Garro teases Lingard at Corinthians training ground after England’s World Cup semi-final loss | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Rodrigo Garro posted on Instagram on Thursday, playfully teasing teammate Jesse Lingard after Argentina’s 2-1 win over England in the 2026 World Cup semi-final.

In the clip, Lingard is using an ab wheel in the gym at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava when Garro appears to joke with him. He captioned it with a celebratory nod to Argentina plus a flag icon, and set it to La Cuarta Estrella by Palmito, a soundtrack for Argentina fans during the tournament.

Corinthians had already joined in on their channels, asking Fabrízio Angileri and Lingard for score predictions before the semi-final. Lingard went for 3-0 to England, while the Argentine full-back called 2-1 and said it would be a difficult game.

On the night, England led 10 minutes into the second half through Antony Gordon. Coach Thomas Tuchel then sat his side back and they had only 12% possession until Argentina levelled on 40 minutes through Enzo Fernández. In stoppage time, Lautaro Martínez headed the winner to seal a comeback and a final against Spain on Sunday.

Corinthians now turn back to domestic action, hosting Remo at Neo Química Arena on Thursday, 23 July, in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, kick-off 19:30.
