Roma are looking to boost their midfield ahead of next season.
With the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini on the bench, one of the club’s priorities is to give the veteran coach a new attacking midfielder.
Among the names that have returned to the notebook of the Giallorossi club is that of Albert Gudmundsson.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have rekindled their interest in the Icelandic striker owned by Genoa, who has had an excellent season in Serie A.
The player, who will not be signed permanently by Fiorentina, is considered a versatile option, capable of acting both as a second striker and as an offensive winger, as well as guaranteeing quality in the finishing and a strong propensity for scoring in the midfield.
Genoa, aware of the growing interest around its number ten, have set a significant pricetag.
Roma, for their part, are studying the margins for a possible operation, in light of the available budget and possible exits.
