Roma drew at Bologna in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie.
A result that leaves everything open ahead of the return leg at the Olimpico.
After the match, Gasperini was asked at the press conference about the conditions of Soulé and Konè.
On Soulé: “It’s difficult to make a prediction about Soulé. Realistically, we’ll be talking about him after the break, then if he returns before that, but it must also be said that he’s been out for some time, several weeks, so it’s difficult.”
On Koné: “Koné had a niggle, and it always takes him a bit longer to recover. It’s not the first time he’s missed matches like this. He always has a harder time recovering from tight games, like the ones against Genoa, I know.”
Why he didn’t play: “It was quite risky to play him, even if it’s not a muscle problem, but we preferred it this way given that we have Como and the Bologna game.”
